Fischer-Cripps Laboratories Pty Ltd founded in 2005, commercialises the UMIS nanoindenter, developed at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) National Measurement Laboratory in Sydney, Australia.
Under Dr Tony Fischer-Cripps, who headed the UMIS project at CSIRO from 1999 to 2005, the system underwent numerous improvements including the new IBIS software (Windows-based) to become the commercially competitive IBIS nano-indenter.
